FAQ02-003Please explain the general in-game terms.
Unsuspended
Cards placed vertically on the field.
Cards in an unsuspended state can attack and cannot be attacked by your opponent.
Suspended
Cards placed horizontally on the field.
After a card has attacked, it is rotated sideways to the suspended state.
Suspended cards cannot attack but can be attacked by your opponent.
Security Stack
In order to win the game, you must reduce your opponent's security stack to 0 security cards.
When you attack while your opponent has 0 security cards, and the attack is successful, you win the game.
In a security battle, the DP of the attacking card and the security card are compared, and the card with the higher value wins.
Regardless of the result, the Security Digimon is deleted and moved to the trash after the battle.
DP
The value that indicates Digimon Power (the amount of damage it can deal to an opponent).
The stronger a Digimon is, the higher its DP is.
Trash
The area where discarded cards are placed.
Memory Gauge
A row of numbers from 0 to 10 displayed at the center between the two players is the "memory gauge".
The memory gauge shows increases and decreases in each player's memory (cost).
When you pay a cost, the memory counter moves toward your opponent's side by the same amount.
When the memory gauge counter moves beyond 0 toward the opponent, the turn ends.
Play
Pay the cost from your hand to play a Digimon on the field.
A Digimon cannot attack the same turn it is played.
Digivolution
You level up by placing a card on top of a Digimon that meets its digivolution requirements.
A card with multiple digivolution requirements can still digivolve if at least one requirement is met.
Hatching
Placing a Digi-Egg card from the Digi-Egg deck into the breeding area is called "hatching".
To hatch a Digi-Egg card, draw one card from the top of your Digi-Egg deck and place it face up in your breeding area.
- *This can only be done when there are no Digimon in your breeding area.
Move
Moving a Digimon that is Level 3 or higher from the breeding area to the battle area is called "move".
Inherited Effect
A Digimon card's effect before it is digivolved.
An inherited effect can still be activated after digivolving, if certain conditions are met.
Some Digimon have no inherited effect.
FAQ02-004Please explain each phase of the gameplay.
In battle, a turn consists of four phases that occur in a fixed order.
-
1.
Unsuspend Phase
Unsuspend all of your suspended cards.
-
2.
Draw Phase
Draw one card from the top of your deck.
- *The player who goes first does not draw during their initial turn.
- *If a player can't draw because their deck is empty, they lose the game.
-
3.
Breeding Phase
Players have the choice to either "hatch" a Digi-Egg or to "move" a Digimon out of the breeding area.
If nothing can be done, or the player does not want to do anything, they can move on to the next phase. -
4.
Main Phase
Players can perform actions such as playing a Digimon card, playing a Tamer card, or digivolving.
In this phase, you can attack the opponent and use Option cards.
If nothing can be done, or the player declares a pass, this phase can be skipped, and the turn will end.- *When a turn is passed, the memory counter is moved to 3 on the opponent’s side of the memory gauge.
